Full Season Ski & Snowboard Rentals

Every Ottawa Sports rental package automatically includes Program Enhanced Equipment Protection (PEEP) at no extra cost. If a rented item goes missing during a program day, you're covered for one piece of equipment — skis, boots, or a snowboard, plus poles if they're lost alongside it — offering parents a measure of comfort all season long. It doesn't cover damage or gear that simply isn't returned — that stays the renter's responsibility.Before your rental begins, you'll sign an Equipment Rental Agreement that spells out these terms in full.

Ski hills are busy, kids get distracted, and gear occasionally goes missing — whether it's skis left unlocked at the base, a helmet grabbed by mistake, or a snowboard mixed up with someone else's. Here's exactly how it works:You have PEEP:Report it to a Ottawa Sports staff member at the hill immediately — the sooner the better, as we can help look for it. If it can't be recovered, PEEP covers one piece of rented equipment per claim per season — or one pair, in the case of skis, boots, or poles. Eligible items are skis, poles, boots, helmet, or a snowboard. Any losses beyond what is covered remain the full financial responsibility of the renter.Damage:Damage to skis, boots, helmets, poles, or bindings is assessed case by case and is not covered by PEEP under any circumstances. Normal wear and tear is expected and will not be charged.Gear not returned at end of season:Any equipment not returned by the program end date will be charged at full replacement value to the credit card on file.All renters sign a rental agreement acknowledging these responsibilities before receiving equipment. We keep this transparent and fair — we trust our families, and we simply need to protect the gear that makes this program possible for everyone.
